Celebrate with us
We’d love nothing more than to have you with us on our wedding day.
This website has all the information you need — travel tips, timelines, party details, and how to let us know you’ll be there.
Once you've RSVP’d, we’ll send you a personal invitation with all the final details.
Getting there
We know Rio isn’t exactly around the corner — unless you live in Copacabana, in which case, you’re very lucky! For everyone else, we get that it might feel like a bit of a mission. If you do make the trip, we promise it’ll be unforgettable. Not just because we’re getting married (though that’s obviously a pretty good reason), but because we’ll get to share some incredible moments in one of the most beautiful cities in the world — together with the people we love most.
Of course, there’s the big day and the party, but we’re also planning a few fun things in the days leading up to the ceremony so we can spend more time together.
If you’re flying from Europe, the easiest routes are usually via Lisbon, Madrid, Amsterdam, or London, with direct flights into Rio’s Galeão International Airport. From the U.S., you’ll find direct flights from New York, Miami, and Houston.
We recommend arriving a few days early to shake off the jet lag and ease into Rio’s rhythm. The city doesn’t rush. As a gringo, you may find it seduces you slowly — and then suddenly you’re saying tudo bem? to people with surprising confidence.
Truly though, there’s so much we want to share: lazy afternoons on Ipanema Beach, bossa nova nights, spontaneous samba at a boteco (no rhythm required — enthusiasm is enough!), museum visits to Museu do Amanhã and MAR, Niemeyer’s surreal architecture, sunset views from Pão de Açúcar, and forest hikes that lead straight to Christ the Redeemer.
We’ll send more personal tips closer to the date — where to eat, drink, and dance — along with all the essential info. And if the planning feels overwhelming, our travel partner (details below) can help you sort the tricky stuff, so you can focus on the fun parts. Like sipping caipirinhas. Or watching us say yes!
Bookings
To make things easy, we’ve partnered with a travel agent who can help with everything from booking hotels to planning activities while you're in Rio.

We’ve pre-booked rooms at a few handpicked hotels and pousadas in Santa Teresa, close to the wedding venue, which you can book at a discounted rate.
We will be providing transportation between the venue and these hotels, so no need to worry about that on the big night.
To get in touch, just message Milessis on WhatsApp. The team speaks perfect English, so if you're coming from abroad, you'll be in great hands.
Note: The pre-booked reservations will expire November 2025, so don’t wait too long if you’re interested!
Good to know
You're more than welcome to make your own arrangements. We do recommend staying in Santa Teresa as most of the wedding events will take place in that area, and you can get taxis in and out of there easily.
A quick heads-up also: there’s a major music concert happening in Copacabana around the same time, expected to draw nearly two million people to the area. It could cause serious traffic disruptions — so as much as we love Copacabana, we strongly suggest avoiding it when booking your stay. We wouldn’t want you to get stuck and miss the party!

Santa Teresa
The wedding venue, Mansão Alvite, is located in the heart of Santa Teresa. Perched high in the hills with really stunning views over the city and bay, it’s one of Rio’s most storied neighbourhoods, and a place we both adore. In the late 19th century, it became a refuge for Europeans who built their grand mansions along the cobblestone streets to escape the chaos below. Fast forward a few decades, and many of those once-elegant homes were abandoned and slowly overtaken by the jungle forests. What followed was kind of a quiet rebellion. The artists came (of course). Studios popped up. Galleries opened. Samba and bossa nova started filling the streets.
Today, Santa Teresa is part jungle, part bohemia, part time capsule — a bit of a world on its own. Locals sometimes call it Rio’s Montmartre (which, as you know, is enough to make Steph fall in love with it).
A quick word to the wise: as postcard-perfect as it looks, Santa Teresa is still very much part of a big and complex city. For your own peace of mind (and ours), we recommend leaving your valuables at home when you venture out and sticking to daytime strolls. Havaianas and sunhats are all you’ll need. All part of the adventure, right?
